Oral Health : Health Tip: If Teeth Are Sensitive

Posted December 19, 2015

(HealthDay News) -- Loss of enamel often leads sensitive teeth, which may be painful.

If your pearly whites are sensitive, the Mayo Clinic says you should avoid:
  • Foods and beverages that are higher in acid, such as soda, and citrus fruits and drinks.
  • Wine and yogurt, which also may be acidic.
  • Brushing and flossing teeth too vigorously.
  • Bleaching your teeth.
  • Using an abrasive toothpaste.
